David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
