Marvel Rivals Unabashedly Reveals its New Lady Loki Skin

You might dismiss Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch clone, developer NetEase deserves credit for finding creative ways to appeal to its eager and dedicated fanbase. Introducing Lady Loki, a completely new skin for the existing Strategist hero Loki, offering players a comics-accurate depiction of the Asgardian deity.

A Reskin of Loki, Not Hela

Despite some fan speculation, the highly anticipated Lady Loki costume is definitely not a skin for Hela. Instead, it is a full-on visual overhaul of Loki himself, complete with fresh voice lines. Judging by the official preview, Lady Loki retains the full suite of Loki's core abilities: Mystical Missile, his trickery skill, and Doppelgänger. The only change is her new appearance, designed to appeal to an audience more than ready to spend their Lattice.

A Look and Sound in Action

Below is a glimpse at Lady Loki on the battlefield, accompanied by a taste of her new voiceover, performed by voice actor Abby Trott. It's worth noting Trott also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals.

Now that NetEase has broken the seal with this gender-swapped skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is busy speculating about similar swaps. Fan suggestions now include:

• Thor's alter ego Jane Foster as the God of Thunder.
• Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman.

The big question is: Does NetEase have the courage to deliver less mainstream variants, such as former hero Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? That will probably depend on fan demand!
